Our
first game of the season is always a lot of fun for everyone. There
is usually so much anticipation on every player's part. Our opening
game this year was no exception. We played a great game, with very
few practices beforehand. Our play against the Hershey Bantams, with
it's major draw in the metropolitan Harrisburg area, always gives
us a good indication of what we can expect and, more importantly,
what we should expect. Judging from this game, we should have a successful
year. There is a great attitude, one of mutual respect and comraderie,
on the bench. Everyone seems to be pulling for everyone. The ninth
graders displayed great leadership, as we have come to expect, and
our four eighth graders received more ice time than normal -- another
great sign.
If
a person believes he deserves success, he's got a shot at it. There's
only one way I know to feel you deserve success, and that's if you
work hard. -- Lou Holtz
