Our game
against PDS was, in general, pretty slow. Although we had many who
contributed goals in the winning cause, we gave up a couple of preventable
goals. Most of our 'goals against' could have been prevented with
more attention to our DZ coverage and faster transition from O to
D by our HB's and D. In addition, we need to concentrate on playing
in the DZ from inside out, rather than outside in. We tended to allow
our check to get net side of us. Offensively, we were on fire. Everything
we seemed to touch went in the net, many from well-executed plays
and good passing. Our power-play, specifically our breakout, needs
much work. The CheeseSteaks at TJ's, in Lawrenceville, after the game
remain a highlight of the trip to Princeton. We were not disappointed.
We needed the extra energy, when we were delayed by an accident on
I-95 and had to bushwhack through N. Philly to get around the accident.
A Good Time. Onward and Upward.
Hustle
every shot, even the 'impossible' ones. I should say especially the
impossible ones, because if you make a point off one of those, you
may deal a severe blow to your opponent's confidence.
