This is one of Hill's stronger
JV teams. As we continue to adjust to playing with fewer players,
holding Hill to a tie (1-1) at the end of the first period is
some sort of moral victory. The fact that we didn't do quite
as well after the first, should be a lesson. Following a game
plan to slow down a superior, stronger, faster skating team,
we executed perfectly in the first -- then we got a little lazy
and played more to their strengths and our weaknesses. We tended
to play more of a backchecking game, playing on the full surface,
which tired our players -- those who were logging more ice time.
We'll need to do a little better in completing a game plan,
if we're to be successful this weekend. Let's continue to work
hard.

Try not to do
too many things at once; know what you want, the number one
thing today and tomorrow. Persevere and get it done.

Don't
try to perform beyond your abilities -- but never perform below
them . -- Frank Robinson
