As exciting as the first game
of the tournament was, this game was equally as disappointing.
Losing in the last few minutes, does 'take a lot out of one's
sails'. We were playing our second game of the tourney and Rumsey
was playing their first. However, we could have, should have
done better than what we did. It seemed to me we were looking
for a reason not to win. Rumsey simply wanted it more. Congratulations
to their players and coaches! While losing this game does take
the ultimate outcome of the tournament 'out of our hands', the
tournament is still not necessarily lost -- we have to play
well tomorrow. Obviously, we'll need some help from some other
teams, but we have won the tournament in the past -- having
lost a game. Stay healthy. Play well tomorrow. No choice.
I
have come to really believe that the people who make it in the
world aren't the most talented ones or the smartest or the luckiest,
or necessarily the bravest. The ones who make it are the dogged
ones. Just plain tenacity. Those are the ones who take the jolts
and get up and look at the sky. -- Fran Tarkenton
