Because of all our illnesses and because our practice times and schedule have been so erratic over the last two weeks, I was a little worried that we wouldn't play well. I needn't have been. I didn't know what to expect from St. Paul's, either. From Baltimore, MD, they are considered, by many, to have the best lacrosse program in the country. I knew they were all good athletes. And, they were. We simply played well. And again, although we didn't start off that way, we ended up with only a couple of players on the bench. My job was simple. Our pass total was way up -- coincidentally, so was our goal output. I continue to be proud of the way you handle a substantial lead. I am also really happy with the unselfish play among all of you. When you are just as apt to pass, as you are to shoot, it makes others work harder to get open. It makes practicing skills so much more meaningful too, knowing that our more experienced players will work to make everyone look good out there. The scoring is spread among many players, another great sign of a healthy team. This was a fun game. I hope that our injuries aren't serious and that we all become healthy, soon. Keep it up!

I don't get a big charge out of being the leading scorer. The object of competing is winning. I just try to do what has to be done for us to win. That might be anything at any time -- defense, rebounding, passing. I get satisfaction out of being a team player. -- Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Passing the ball is what I like best, because if I can get the ball to a guy and he scores and I see the gleam in his eye when he's running back down the court, it's the greatest feeling in the world. -- Larry Bird
