This was a game to remember -- one of the best 'first' games I can remember. Without going back and researching the pass totals in all of our past games, I still feel safe in saying that it took many past Upland teams, many more games to achieve a total of 87 passes. You did it in one game. With this kind of unselfish play from so many so early in the seaon, it is exciting to think about how good we can be. With solid goaltending, inspired defense, and solid two-way play from our forwards, there was little I could add. I am really looking forward to a great year. I hope we can count on everyone to be at practice, and to 'show off' the work ethic that has always made me so proud. Make sure homework is done and studies are not neglected. We can not afford to lose any players for any reason. Stay on top of your health and your school work.

This was a great win -- the first of what I hope will be many more.
