Planning to play Boy's Latin
School JV team, upon our arrival in Baltimore we found that
they had only a High School Varsity team. Because the BL coaching
staff was careful to not seek any size or weight advantage,
It turned out to be a good game. Our passing totals were way
down, probably because of the advantage in speed they had
over us; they simply beat us to the puck more than we beat
them to the puck. Our skill simply wasn't enough to overcome
the other obstacles associated with age. We do need to work
on keeping shots to the outside, playing the middle of the
ice on Defense, and spreading out on Offense. Our wings need
to do a much better job at staying wide, remembering to stay
on the boards until replaced. All in all though, it was game
that we maybe could have done a little better, but considering
our opponent, and the fact that it was our second game, we
did OK.
