Coaches should adjust expectations for players' ages and ability level. These are only IDEAS to jump start creative thinking in planning exciting and fun practices. Games can get more complicated or easier depending on the skill level of players and the outcome sought.
Ringette
Games with different pucks/balls, etc.
British Bull Dog
All must face puck
3-4 quick strides to open ice
Wrist passes only
Backward passes only
Backward skating only
Only give and go passes allowed
No give and go passes allowed
Player must gain a zone before being allowed to pass
2-second touches
Only backward passes
Everyone must touch puck
Everyone must touch puck in each zone
Hold stick at half shaft
Hold stick at the top of the shaft
Hold stick with top hand only
Hold stick with bottom hand only
7 consecutive passes (award 1 point for 7 passes)
Must pivot to backward before making a pass
Skootering
Only handle the puck on the forehand side of the stick
Must be 1 pass before a goal counts

Goal does not count unless everyone is in the zone
